| Polarity Center's Founder As a result of Dr. Stone’s work, Polarity Training Centers have been created nationally and internationally. John Bodary founded the Polarity Center in 1985 in Dearborn, Michigan. He has taught Polarity throughout the Midwest. Prior to being a Polarity Practitioner and teacher, he was a school principal, athletic coach, and high school teacher. He also was in seminary and a Gestalt Therapist in private practice. As an educator, therapist, and a person on a spiritual path, he saw Polarity Therapy as an art, science and way of life. He also could see how polarity was a holistic model of health and well-being. His intention in teaching has always been to create an educational environment that allows people to learn from their experience instead of having an "expert" tell students how things are. While knowledge is helpful for the mind, wisdom and competence arises from our experience and learning through experimentation. The Polarity Center’s approach to teaching supports and encourages this process. John has created a healing and learning community in Southeastern Michigan based on Polarity principles. This area of Michigan holds the 4th largest concentration of Polarity students in the country. As a teacher he is known for his ability to take interested students from many walks of life and help them to apply Polarity principles to their lives. He has supported his students to trust their experience and to build upon it. John has served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the American Polarity Therapy Association. John created the curriculum at the Polarity Center for the first 3 of 4 levels available at the Center. The curriculum is approved by the American Polarity Therapy Association. |
